Prof. Guthaus Quoted in Business Insider on AI-Designed Chips

Prof. Matthew Guthaus was quoted in the Business Insider article “The chips powering AI can take years to design. This startup says AI did it in 2 weeks.” Speaking about AI-designed hardware more broadly, he noted that while AI is good at many parts of the chip design flow, it needs close supervision because getting silicon wrong is so costly, and that “AI is a tool for experts by experts.”
